The institution was founded through the visionary leadership and philanthropic initiative of Mr. R. Sattanathan of Kurinjipadi, who strongly believed that education is the most powerful tool for social transformation and women’s empowerment. With this guiding philosophy, the dream of establishing a modern and progressive college dedicated to women’s education gradually took shape.

With the divine blessings and strong determination of the founders, Shri Sivam Educational Trust was formally inaugurated on 16th December 2020. The Trust comprises twelve committed and service-oriented members, all united by a shared mission to promote quality education and contribute to the development of society through academic excellence.

To create an ideal learning environment, the Trust acquired approximately five acres of land in Kadampuliyur, a location known for its pollution-free, peaceful, and serene surroundings. This tranquil atmosphere provides students with a conducive environment for focused learning, personal growth, and intellectual development. With modern infrastructure and a commitment to academic quality, the institution was established as Sangamam Arts and Science College, symbolizing the coming together of knowledge, values, and opportunities.

Today, the college proudly serves hundreds of women students from various socio-economic backgrounds, offering them an opportunity to pursue higher education and build successful futures. The institution strives not only to impart academic knowledge but also to nurture leadership qualities, ethical values, social responsibility, and professional competence among its students.
