The Department of Tamil was started in the year 2022 offering part -I language and from the year 2022 it started functioning as a Major department. The department is equipped with qualified faculty members. B.A Tamil Literature is an undergraduate degree program that focuses on the study of the Tamil language and literature. Tamil literature is one of the oldest and richest literary traditions in the world, with a history that spans more than two thousand years.
